Parenting Coordination

Parental conflict after divorce is the number one determinant of pathology for your child. It is the most detrimental act parents can engage in following the divorce or separation of a family.

The goal of Parenting Coordination is to reduce this conflict.

The purpose of Parenting Coordination is to provide a child-focused alternative dispute resolution process whereby a parenting coordinator assists the parents in creating or implementing a parenting plan by facilitating the resolution of disputes between the parents by providing education, making recommendations, and, with the prior approval of the parents and the court, making limited decisions within the scope of the court’s order of referral.

This process is confidential with exceptions in compliance with the Statue 61.125.

Each family’s action plan is different and tailor made depending on the current co parenting circumstances.

The success of Parenting Coordination is in the “Not”

  1. Not going to court
  2. Not calling your attorney
  3. Not litigating
  4. Not calling the police
  5. Not missing holidays and special occasions
  6. Not fighting with the ex spouse/ex partner
  7. Not being constantly frustrated and angry in regards to co parenting

Parenting Coordination is hard work for the parents and healthy for the children.
